A dynamic QR code is the best choice for a restaurant menu, because you can point the printed table card at a new menu whenever dishes or prices change, and with StandfastQR you pay once rather than every month.

Why menus need a dynamic code
Menus change: seasonal dishes, new prices, allergen updates, a separate lunch menu. With a static code, each change means reprinting every table card. With a dynamic code you change the destination in the dashboard, and every printed card opens the new menu within about a minute.
Tips for menu codes
Link to a page, not a file, if you can. A web page loads faster on a phone than a large PDF. If you use a PDF, keep it small.
Print at least 2.5 cm across on table cards, with a clear quiet zone around the code.
Test in the restaurant’s lighting, especially on dark or glossy cards.
Add a short call to action beside the code: “Scan for today’s menu.”
Turn on broken-link protection (Business and Agency). If your menu host goes down, diners see your fallback page instead of an error.
Running several sites?
The Business pack’s 25 codes cover a menu, a drinks list and a review link for several sites. Put them on your own domain, like menu.yourrestaurant.com, so they look like part of your brand.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the menu without reprinting the QR code?
Yes, with a dynamic code. Upload your new menu wherever you host it, then change the code’s destination in the dashboard. The printed code opens the new page within about a minute.
Should the code link to a PDF or a web page?
A web page is usually better on phones: it loads faster and is easier to read. A small PDF works too. We redirect to whatever address you choose; we don’t host files.
Will my menu QR code stop working if I don’t renew?
Not with StandfastQR. There’s nothing to renew: you pay once, and paid codes aren’t switched off for non-payment.
