Here’s exactly what that means.
1. We never switch a code off because of money
- You pay once.
- There are no subscriptions, renewals, trials or scan limits.
- We don’t switch codes off for inactivity, and your account never “expires”.
Contract: Schedule S1.2.
2. You can always change where a code goes
- Edit the destination as often as you need, for as long as StandfastQR operates.
- Edits take effect within about a minute.
Contract: S1.4.
3. Codes on your own domain don’t depend on us
- Business and Agency packs include your own domain, such as
qr.yourshop.com. - If you ever want to leave, or if we stop trading, you can point that domain somewhere else and load your export.
- Your printed codes then keep working without us. We publish free, open-source software that does this.
Contract: S1.7. How-to: exporting and the escape hatch.
4. If we ever close, you get time and everything you need
- We’ll give you at least 12 months’ notice.
- During that time and for 24 months after closing, codes on
sfqr.linkkeep redirecting to their last destination.- We keep the domain paid at least 10 years ahead at all times.
- We keep a reserve for hosting.
- You can export everything at any time.
- If we can arrange it, a successor service will take over
sfqr.linkso that shared codes keep working for longer.
Contract: S1.8 and S1.9.
5. A code is never reused
Each code ID is used once and never reassigned to anyone else, even if you retire it.
Contract: S1.5.
When a code doesn’t go to your chosen destination
This is the complete list:
- Abuse: it’s used for phishing, malware, fraud or illegal content.
- Safety check: it’s briefly on hold while we check a destination flagged by our safety checks. We aim to finish within 2 business days.
- Refunds: you withdraw or are refunded, or a chargeback is lost, and you’re left with more codes than you’ve paid for.
- Broken-link protection: you’ve switched it on, and your destination is down. Scanners see your fallback page until it’s back.
- Your choice: you pause or retire it yourself.
Whenever we change a code’s state, we email you. If we stop a code for abuse, we tell you why and how to appeal.
Contract: S1.3.
