StandfastQR

Exporting and the escape hatch

You can export every code at any time, free, as CSV, JSON, a _redirects file, an nginx map or a standfast file; codes on your own domain can then keep working without StandfastQR by pointing the domain at our open-source redirector loaded with that export.

Export formats

Go to Dashboard → Export and choose a format. Every export includes each code’s ID, domain, destination, status, label and creation date.

FormatUse it for
standfast (recommended)Our open-source standfast-redirector. Applies identical rules to ours.
CSVSpreadsheets and records
JSONYour own scripts and systems
_redirectsNetlify or Cloudflare Pages (best effort: lists upper- and lower-case IDs)
nginxAn nginx map for your own server

Redirect lines are written only for active codes and codes on their fallback; other states appear as comments.

The escape hatch, step by step

If you want to leave, or if we ever stop trading, here’s how codes on your own domain keep working:

  1. Download your export in the standfast format.
  2. Run the redirector on any server or container platform, loaded with your export. (Or use the nginx or _redirects export on a host you already have.)
  3. Release the domain in the dashboard (Domain → Release), if we’re still running.
  4. Point your CNAME at your new host.

The printed codes don’t change, because the domain and ID in the image are the same. Scanners won’t notice the move.

Why we built this

A QR code is only as permanent as the domain inside it. If the domain is yours and you have the data, nobody, including us, can strand your printed codes.

Frequently asked questions

Does exporting cost anything?

No. Export is free at any time, as often as you like. It’s part of our Terms (Schedule S1.6).

Can I keep sfqr.link codes working without you?

Not by yourself, because sfqr.link is our domain. That’s why we commit to keep those codes redirecting for at least 24 months after any closure, and why custom domains are the strongest protection.

Which export format should I use to self-host?

The standfast format with our open-source redirector. It applies exactly the same rules as our service, so every variant of a printed code, upper or lower case, with or without a trailing slash, still works.
