Use case

QR codes for PDFs

A QR code for a PDF opens the document’s web address when scanned; host the PDF on your website or a file service, then use a dynamic code so you can point the printed code at a new version later.

Make it dynamic and permanent

A dynamic code lets you change where it goes after printing. From $19 / £15 / €17, paid once. No subscription, no renewals, no scan limits.

  3. Print and edit any time

Change the destination whenever you like. Edits are live in about a minute.

Where your PDF lives

StandfastQR redirects; it doesn’t host files. Put the PDF on your own website or a file service that gives it a public web address, then paste that address into the generator.

Why dynamic suits documents

Documents get new versions. A static code points to one file address for ever, so if the file moves or is renamed the code breaks. A dynamic code lets you point to the new file whenever it changes, and broken-link protection (Business and Agency) catches the case where the file disappears.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

Can you host my PDF?

No. We keep things simple and safe by redirecting only. Host the PDF on your website or a file service and paste its address.

Can I update the PDF without changing the QR code?

Yes. Either replace the file at the same address, or with a dynamic code, point the code at the new file’s address.

Why does my PDF QR code show an error?

Usually the file has moved, been renamed or been made private. Open the address in a browser to check.
